The Future of REEL SERVICE June 11, 2018 – Posted in: Reel Service, Special Projects, Vedavoo
As a small company we are just not able to write a big check – but that doesn’t make us any less committed to supporting causes that we care about. As are result Vedavoo started building one-of-a-kind pieces that could raise funds, build awareness and make an impact in the community . By working with notable artists in the Fly Fishing industry we were able to make truly unique pieces, unlike anything else – prizes that can be treasured.
From our first REEL SERVICE PROJECT in 2013 until today, we have raised almost $6000 for worthy causes through these projects. 100% of these funds DIRECTLY benefit the causes. But this is just the beginning…
Starting with our latest project (Reel Service 5 – just launched HERE), RS will now feature one artist piece for a specific cause selected by the artist. For this current effort, a hand-painted messenger by Michigan artist Jeff Kennedy is on display at Gates Au Sable Lodge in Grayling, Michigan, and dedicated to support the Anglers of the Au Sable.
I’m also pleased to announce that project Reel Service 6 will launch at the International Fly Tackle Dealer show this July 11, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the fight for the Everglades and Gulf Fisheries during this critical time. Bags from Jorge Martinez and Paul Puckett will headline that effort.
Through this pivot, we are expanding the effort to support a much broader group of causes with the hope of creating a more lasting impact on them, on our fisheries, and on the sport as a whole. Thank you in advance for your support of all that is to come!
1 extra entry for donating to the cause
1 additional entry for every $10 contributed
GOAL: $1000 per bag
Stay tuned for new projects on the horizon… we’ve got bags from Derek DeYoung, Andrea Larko, Josh Udesen, Sarah Landstrom, Jake Keeler, Borbay, Ty Hallock, Ryan Keene, and Kendra Leeks… with new art coming in for other projects in time!
