I have an Escape Pack, which I like very much. I have the ARC Belt as well, and it’s a combination that is nearly perfect, with the size and weight being ideal. I do a lot of hike-in fishing on small Adirondack streams, so it’s perfectly sized. Normally I used it as a small chest pack. I do a lot of climbing and hopping around in small and steep brook trout streams, so I don’t like to just use it as a lanyard because it flops around too much. The chest pack conversion is holds it perfectly.
My one issue: I’m a rather “robust” build (a little fat to be honest), and the belt is too short for use in the spring or autumn when waders, a fleece vest, heavy shirt, and a rain jacket with fly box pockets all stack up underneath. I mentioned this to Vedavoo and they will custom make an extension for me!

I bought the Escape pack in Steele color along with the Arc fly pack (same color) and Arc belt. I fish smallmouth on the fly 95% of the time in my local creeks and rivers and trout up in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region. This pack is really light and much easier on me when wading for hours on end, plenty of room for my essential flies, I only use 3 flies. I like the Tacky day pack box, as it leaves me room for my cell phone too. I wear mine off to the side like a hip pack, the belt really helps in keeping it in place when bending down. This pack is really well thought out, and the quality of materials is nice.
