Durable Gear for the Road Less Traveled

Jake Whittle Vedavoo Ambassador
Every young and developing climber should look to Jake as an example. An accomplished climber with tremendous passion for the sport, Jake worked hard and made the most of the opportunities he had to share his passion with friends and new climbers alike.

Jake joined Team Vedavoo as an Ambassador before the 2009 Mammut National Bouldering Championships in Salt Lake City, UT – and continued to develop and represent our brand for the next 2 1/2 years. During 2010 and 2011, Jake was the Captain of the Ambassador Team – and was responsible for bringing four new climbers to the Ambassadors. Jake left team V late in 2011 to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.

Jake was brought up clumbing by his dad from age 3, and has been sport climbing ever since. Truly passionate about the sport, Jake was proud to say that he climbed to be “smart but fearless” on routes up to 5.13b/c. Jake believes that climbing is “more a way of life then anything.” He regularly worked to set and improve routes, find and develop new areas, write guidebooks, and drive production of local comps to create new interest in the sport. As he once said, “every and any day on the rocks is a good one”

Jake’s pure and honest attitude and motivation to develop the sport of climbing set him apart as a leader, and to make a lasting, positive impact on the world of climbing. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to share in Jake’s journey, and wish him only the best in all that lies ahead.
